Founded in October 1990 by the esteemed Dr. James F Ganem, East Valley Cardiology has been a trusted pillar of cardiovascular care in the Chandler community. For 34 years, Dr. Ganem dedicated himself to the highest standard of patient care, earning the respect and gratitude of countless patients and their families. His strong leadership and commitment to mentoring colleagues and staff have been instrumental in shaping the practice into a beacon of excellence. Dr. Ganem’s vision and hard work for serving the Chandler community has no doubt left an indelible mark on the cardiology community, setting the foundation for exceptional care that continues to this day.
As Dr. Ganem transitions ownership, his legacy lives through the leadership of Dr. Robert A Hanson. With over 20 years of medical experience, Dr. Hanson brings a wealth of knowledge, skill and compassion to his role as the new steward of East Valley Cardiology. A proud alumnus of Michigan State University, Dr. Hanson earned his bachelor’s degree before continuing his medical education and training at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. He went on to complete his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital, in Pontiac MI. It is here where Dr. Hanson developed a deep expertise in cardiology and advancing quality patient care. Dr. Hanson is honored to continue the tradition of excellence established by Dr. Ganem, bringing innovative techniques, advanced technology, and personalized care to every patient. With the same passion for serving the community and a steadfast commitment to cardiovascular health, Dr. Hanson ensures that East Valley Cardiology remains a trusted partner in heart care for generations to come.
At the heart of East Valley Cardiology's patient focused care are its remarkable nurse practitioners. Working in partnership with Dr. Robert Hansen is nurse practitioners Melissa J Mattison FNP-C, Jamie L Harris, FNP-C, Katherine E Reynolds, FNP-C and Sarah G Hanson, FNP-C. With decades of combined experience, these eager professionals bring unmatched expertise, compassion, and attention to every patient interaction. Known for their personalized approach and genuine love for patient care, they have built lasting relationships with patients who trust and admire their unwavering dedication.
